Undergraduate Programs launched at Presidency University

Undergraduate Programs, BBA, BBA (Aviation Management), B.Com, B.Com (Honors) & BCA were launched at Presidency University on Thursday, 18th July 2019.
Gracing the occasion, the Chief Guest, Mr. Sudhir Banerjee, Senior Vice President and Head Global Business Services at ABB called upon the students to cultivate thorough professionalism from the very beginning. Listing the qualities expected by a professional, Mr Banerjee suggested the acronym SPORT to emphasize on Self discipline, Patience, Open-ness, Respect for others as well as for self and Trustworthiness. Stressing the importance of work life balance among the young generation, He said that we should be celebrating even small successes at work which will serve as positive reinforcement on the team as well as building self confidence as well as staff morale. He added that as a Manager one should not hesitate to say ‘No’ if the situation demands rather than saying ‘Yes’ every time. Mr Banerjee concluded by saying that while looking for a job, the students need to consider carefully the role and challenges the job offers rather than mere pay compensations.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Amit Khanna, General Management (HR) at Bangalore International Airport emphasized the importance of “Course, Conscious effort to learn, Collaboration, College grooming and Compete with integrity” in the life of students.
Mr. Michael Wagner, Associate Vice President, Miles Education, as special guest, motivated the students to look forward to getting the maximum value addition from the three years of education they will receive at the university.
In the beginning, Prof. Radha Padmanabhan, Vice Chancellor, welcomed the gathering. Prof. Nilanjan Chattopadhyay, Dean, School of Management mentioned that the new courses will make the students future ready. Pro Chancellor, Prof. Vijayan Immanuel said that the university has excellent faculty members and he called upon the students to make best use of the facilities available. Dr L. Balu, Head of the Department of Commerce conveyed the vote of thanks in the end.
