Dr. Mani Ramakrishnan

Mani Ramakrishnan has eighteen years of experience in teaching, research and administration in the faculty of biological sciences from reputed Higher Educational and Research organizations. He as a Research Coordinator, experienced in managing seed money projects and grants, scientific Human Resource and Knowledge. He also involved as an active member in various committees such as NAAC Research Committee, academic council of the institution, faculty selection committee, Board of Studies (BOS) for curriculum development, Board of Examiners (BOE) for question paper scrutiny and paper setting. He is also a Visiting Scientist to DNA barcoding Lab, School of Ecology and Conservation, University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bangalore and Applied Genomics lab, ICRISAT, Patancheru, Telangana through Summer Research Fellowship Program organized by Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Dr. Mani Ramakrishnan has successfully completed two VGST funded SPiCE projects, thirteen in-house and summer research projects. To his credits, he has published twentyfour research papers in peer reviewed Journals and presented twentynine research papers in national and international conferences / seminars. As an Editor-in-chief responsibility, published a peer reviewed, annual multidisciplinary academic Journal (CMR J. Res. & Dev.) with ISSN and honorary reviewer for five reputed international journals. He has also organized ten National level events / conferences/ workshops as a convener as well as the member of organizing committee

• Received two project grants (INR 60,000) under Science Projects in College Education (SPiCE 2014-15) as a Mentor / Guide from Vision Group of Science and Technology (VGST), Dept. of IT, BT and S & T, Government of Karnataka.
• Received Summer Research Fellowship – 2014 from Indian Academy of sciences, Bangalore
• Received Summer Research Fellowship - 2011 from Indian Academy of sciences, Bangalore
• Best Paper Presentation award in the National conference on Developmental biology organized by Bangalore University, Bangalore, India (September 15-17th, 2010).
• Senior Research Fellowship from National Tea Research Foundation (NTRF) for a period of 2 years and a month.
• Best paper presentation award in the annual tea colloquium held in United Planters Association of Southern India-Tea Research Foundation (UPASI-TRF), Valparai, India.
