I received my PhD in Chemistry from IIT(ISM), Dhanbad. During Ph.D. I got exposure of working on various fields which includes preparation of different heterogeneous catalysts (mesoporous siliceous/non-siliceous catalyst, novel metal catalyst and titania oxide catalysts etc). Along with this I used these catalysts in different liquid and gas phase reactions like Styrene epoxidation, Benzyl alcohol oxidation, Beckmann rearrangement and dehydrogenation reactions etc. I have sound knowledge in handling instruments and result prediction using different instrumental techniques like G.C (TCD, FID), BET-Surface Area, Fixed Bed Reactor, FTIR, UV-Vis, TPR, TPD (hand on experience). FESEM/HRTEM, XRD, SAXS, SANS, XPS, (data interpretation). During my doctorate I have guided/lead team of my juniors for their project work and presently I am guiding undergraduate students. I have the ability to work independently, systematically and guide students for research. I have attended and presented my research work in several international and national conferences and seminars.
I enjoy teaching chemistry and interacting with students. I always try to develop student’s interest in research work, it helps them to think independently and increase problem solving abilities.
Published 8 international papers in peer-reviewed international journals with impact factor i.e. between 3-6.
