Dr. Shashikala A. R.

Dr.ShashikalaA.R, has obtained PhD degree from Visveswaraya Technological University, Belgaum for the research work “Development of Electrochemical Coatings for Functional Applications” in the year 2010, under the guidance of Dr.A.K.Sharma, Group Director, Thermal Systems group, ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore and Prof. Mayanna, Emeritus Professor, Central College, Bangalore University. She has also obtained MSc Engineering (Research) degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. She has obtained her Master’s degree (MSc, Chemistry) and Bachelors (BSc) from Bangalore University. She has started her teaching career in the year 2001, as Lecturer in Chemistry and currently have about 17 years of Teaching and 5 years of Research experience. She has published about 18 papers in peer reviewed National / International Journals and presented/published papers in International / National conferences. Has organized conferences and faculty development programmes. She is actively involved in basic and applied research activities. Her research interest is in Development of Corrosion resistant coatings, Synthesis of Bio fuel etc. She has also worked as College Magazine coordinator, AICTE and VTU coordinator earlier. Also worked as Convener for conferences. She is the life member of ISTE.
