The 7th Board of Studies Meeting of School of Engineering was held on Saturday 26th May 2018. The day long meeting discussed the curriculum updates, pedagogy improvements and new courses in the School of Engineering.
18 senior academicians in the area of EEE, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Petroleum Engineering besides Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English drawn from the following prestigious organizations participated in the day long discussions : University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, R V College of Engineering, B M S College of Engineering, InfoReach Technologies, PES University, Nokia-Siemens India Ltd.,Citrius Projects, Ashok Leyland, University of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Dehra Dun, Pandit Deen Dayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar, Current Products Engineering, L & T Construction Equipment Limited, Indian Oil Corporation, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, IIT, Kharagpur and Bangalore University. The meeting began with a welcome by Vice Chancellor, Prof Radha Padmanabhan who also briefly spoke about the Presidency Group of institutions.
The Vice Chancellor shared the news that in the latest Times Engineering Institute Ranking Survey 2018, the university was ranked among the top emerging engineering institutes of the country.
