Video games have been part of popular culture for decades, but it is only now in the 21st that we see its importance. Gaming is no more seen as a mere leisure activity, it has grown into a full-blown lucrative and a professional industry catering to various age groups.

With games spreading across PC, Console, Arcade, Simulation and Online, video games however have been magnified by Mobile Gaming almost half of the gaming revenue generated comes through mobile games alone. In addition, the demand for gaming content for immersive experiences such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) is growing exponentially. Rapid advancements of technology has allowed video games to reach the masses, making this industry one of the fastest growing segments in the global media and entertainment market.

The Video Game Design program at PCDS will enhance the learners creativity and passion for gaming with the right technical skills and intense training. The program is diligently designed to be able to keep up with the gaming industry’s rapidly evolving technologies , trends and platforms. Therefore equipping the learners with in-demand skill sets and relevant knowledge. Learners will practice in a studio-based environment, learning the entire game development cycle, from pre-production, designing & programming, marketing and launch of the final game. The learning method also includes working on live projects and participating in gaming tournaments and competitions. The goal of this program is to cultivate video game designers who can start designing games professionally, as soon as they graduate.
