National Youth Day is observed on 12th January across India. The day is celebrated every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The day aims at making the youth aware of such teachings which will, in turn, be important in building the nation. In order to honor his vision and motivate youth to act on it, National Youth Day is very significant. National Youth Day or Swami Vivekananda Jayanti is celebrated by organizing lectures, cultural programs as well as various competitions for students.

On his 158th birth anniversary, Department of StudentWelfare of PU organized an online session for the first-year students. The theme was on Youth Power for Nation Building on 12.01.2021 at 4.00 pm through virtual mode.

DSW wants to appreciate the following students from 1st year, Arnav Gupta,Ananya. J. Shetty,BandaruBhavagan Shreya,Viraj Mahavir Magdum, for their active participation.
