The inauguration of MBA program of 2019-21 batch was held on 5th August 2019 at the university auditorium. Chief Guest Mr. Sujitesh Das, Senior Vice President and Global Head, HR stategy, Microland Ltd delivered the inaugural address. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sujitesh Das spoke on the importance of time, inquisitiveness and networking for the budding managers and urged them to inculcate these habits. Mr Das called upon the students to be a learner all the time. Dr. Vijayan Immanuel, Pro Chancellor, gave an overview of the university to the new batch of students. Starting with 60 students in 2015, the student strength for the MBA program has reached 1000, said Prof. Immanuel. He asked the students to be regular for the classes and added that the university would do everything to give them the learning and also placement opportunities. Dr. Nilanjan Chattopadhyay, Dean School of Management, welcomed the gathering. Calling upon the students, the Dean said that they need to set their goals early, plan and achieve the goals. He asked the students to be totally aligned with the goals. The Dean added that upto 20% of their learning will be done outside the classrooms doing projects. Parents of the new students, and their wards were present on the occasion. Dr. K Krishna Kumar, HOD, School of Management delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Ishwara Bhat, Pro Vice Chancellor, was present on the occasion.
