Hands on training on the use of Proquest Database was held at the University’s Computer Lab on 20th April 2017. 50 students of MBA I Year participated in the training. The training was provided by Mr Vikram Sudhakar, Training and Consulting Partner, Asia Pacific, Proquest. Training covered the following aspects :
• Scope and coverage of Proquest
• Advantages of Proquest over other sources such as Google
• Basic Searches
• Advanced Searches
• Search tips & shortcuts
The participants were given exercises and time to practice. The program was jointly organized by the University Library and School of Management. Appreciating the training, Prof Arabinda Bhandari of School of Management called upon the students to regularly make use of the database for enriching the quality of their project reports and assignments.
