Founder’s Day was celebrated in the University on Monday, 3rd February 2020. The day is celebrated every year on 3rd February which happens to be the birthday of the Hon’ble Chancellor and Founder of the university, Sri Nissar Ahmed. Since the day is also declared as Ethnic Day, the campus gave a festive look with all students sporting ethnic attire.
A formal event was held in the auditorium in the afternoon which was attended by all staff and faculty of the university in the presence of the Hon’ble Chancellor. Speaking on the occasion, Dean, Prof. C. Prabhakar Reddy, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Radha Padmanabhan and Pro Chancellor, Prof. Vijayan Immanuel paid tributes to the Hon’ble Chancellor. To everyone in the auditorium, the Vice Chancellor administered an Oath of Commitment to work and taking the university to greater heights. Replying to the felicitation, the Hon’ble Chancellor thanked all faculty and staff for their contribution to the university.
A short video film on the Hon’ble Chancellor created by Mr Arun and Mr Krishna, staff members, was screened in the beginning. A short cultural program comprising musicals and dance was part of the Founder’s Day in which both faculty and students participated. Highlight included a quick portrait sketch of the Hon’ble Chancellor, by 1st year student, Shashank which was admired by everyone.
The day ended with refreshments to all staff.
