FDP workshop on ADVANCED PYTHON PROGRAMMING

Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Presidency University with the high spirits of adopting the most relevant current technologies and computer languages, organized a highly interactive hands-on FDP on Advanced Python Programming during 23 – 27 July 2018. The external speaker – Mr. Kushal Bhangi is a highly qualified, experienced tech-expert working with HP, Bengaluru. The internal speakers Dr. D C Kiran, Dr. Alamelu Mangai, Mr. Sanjeev Kaulgud, Mr. Shreekant Jere, Ms. Sandhya Kaipa, Mr. Tapas Guha, Mr. Ramakrishna K and Mr. Sunilkumar R M are highly qualified, experienced academic experts working with Presidency University, Bengaluru.
The objectives of the workshop are to provide hands-on experience in python programming, exploration of python’s object-oriented features, functional programming concepts and knowledge about python packages such as nltk, pandas, numpy and matplotlib.
The FDP started with a short formal inaugural session and geared up with its extensive hands-on session and advanced learning in the language. All together a total of 50 participants from all departments of Presidency University participated. The session was rigorous yet enjoyable and productive.
The visible outcome of the FDP were the participants’ acquaintances with exploration of python’s object-oriented features, parallel programming, functional programming concepts and widely used packages in the industry. The overall satisfaction level of the faculty members is high with a very good feedback of their speakers who gave them the advanced concepts on the python language.
