Debate contest on corruption free India at Presidency University

Presidency University, Bangalore, organized a debate contest on the topic, ‘ Can Digitization help India become corruption free ?’ on Thursday, 31st October 2019. The debate was sponsored by Power Grid Corporation of India as a part of Vigilance Awareness Week. The debate contest generated a lot of enthusiasm among the students and had 126 registrations and 70 students participated in the prelims. Around 14 students reached the finals which was held on 31st October 2019. Besides Vice Chancellor, Prof Radha Padmanabhan, Mr. S Ravi, Executive Director and Mr M. Srinivasa Rao, Chief Manager, Power Grid Corporation of India were present at the finals. In the beginning, Mr S. Ravi spoke about the importance of the Vigilance Week. Mr Srinivasa Rao administered an oath of integrity and probity to all students.
The winners of the debate are Rohit Ramesh, First Position( 8th Semester),Shamitha Shetty,Second position(7th Semester) Nithin.P, Third Position (5th Semester).Vengesh Damodaran (7thSemester) and Anupam Anurag (7th Semester) stood 4th and 5th respectively.
