Dr. Joel Hemanth

Associate Dean, Prof. Joel Hemanth has an academic experience of 35 years out of 25 years as a researcher. He has a PhD in Metal Casting Science and Engineering from University of Mysore and M. E. in Material Science and Engineering from Bangalore University and PDF in Materials Science & Engineering, and MBA (Personnel Management) from Bangalore University. He has done post doctoral research work at Aerospace Department of IISc, Bangalore. He has guided 21 research scholars for PhD. He has also chaired sessions at the international conferences in India and abroad.
Prof Joel Hemanth has published over 150 articles in international journals, 5 articles in national journals and has contributed over 150 conference papers. He has also authored 2 books published by Lambert press, Germany and Scholars’ press, England.
Before joining Presidency University, Prof Joel Hemanth had served as Principal in HMSIT, Tumkur for 5 years, as Principal in A.I.T, Tumkur, for 1 year, as Dean, RGIT, Bangalore for 4 years and as Professor & Head, S.I.T., Tumkur for 25 years.
Prof Joel Hemanth teaches the subject, Materials Science. His research areas are : Materials Characterization , Heat Transfer, FE Modeling etc.
Prof Joel Hemanth has received 4 national awards. He is a member of several professional bodies. In addition to above, Prof Joel Hemanth has done Doctor of Ministry Degree (D. Min) in Theology and has been working honorarily as the Church Father for churches of South India.
